The Neighborhood Food Drive is Back!
Join us as we come together to support the CARES Food Pantry.
We need helping hands on Wednesday, October 22 and Saturday, October 25—a great way to involve our neighbors in caring for the community. All ages are welcome!
- Wednesday, October 22 – Meet in the Gallery at 4:00 p.m. to staple instructions to grocery bags. At 5:30 p.m. we’ll split into teams to deliver the bags to our neighbors. Each bag includes an invitation to fill it with non-perishable food for pickup on Saturday. This is drop-off only—no door knocking—and involves about a mile of neighborhood walking.
- Saturday, October 25 – Gather at 10:00 a.m. to collect the filled bags from porches. We’ll need both walkers and drivers.
This year, we’re also adding a “Can-Can Food Drive” at the church on Saturday morning. If you can’t join the neighborhood pickup, swing by the church between 10:00 a.m. and noon to drop off your donation.
