Who is welcome on Sunday mornings?

Everyone! Visitors are always welcome to worship in-person, or worship online on Facebook Live or Zoom. You will not be singled out to introduce yourself as a visitor and may engage at whatever level you are most comfortable. Govans is also a More Light Congregation, meaning that we welcome LGBTQ+ people into the full life and ministry of the church.

What should I wear?

Please dress in whatever way you are most comfortable.

What is the service like?

Our Worship service includes congregational singing, musical performances by our music teams, scripture reading, sermon, prayers, offering, and announcements. The service is usually 1 hour and the sermon averages about 12-15 minutes.

What is there for my kids?

Children are always welcome at Govans! Each worship service includes a Children’s Sermon moment for young disciples. Likewise, there is ample space for children to play and move inside the sanctuary for in-person services including our “Prayground” for our youngest children. View the campus map above to see changing rooms on our campus.

Are there educational opportunities?

Before the service at 9:00 a.m. there are usually educational or social opportunities for all ages and all are welcome to attend.

Where do in-person services take place?

There are two main buildings on our campus: The Sanctuary (the one with the clock tower) and the Education Building. There is ample parking behind the Education Building. Services take place in the Sanctuary and other programming happens in the Education Building. Both can be accessed by the Peace Terrace located between the buildings.

How do I access worship online?

You can view online services on our Facebook page, or by joining on Zoom.  Use this form to request a Zoom link for an upcoming service. Past services are available on our YouTube channel.

Is your in-person service accessible?

Yes! Everyone is welcome at Govans. The sanctuary includes dedicated space for participants using mobility devices and there are clearly marked accessible entrances. View the campus map above to see accessible parking spaces and entrances, gender non-specific restrooms, changing rooms, and nursing areas.
