Music Mondays: Lift Every Voice – An MLK Musical Celebration
The MLK, Jr. concert will feature Roderick Demmings Jr. on organ, piano, and voice, presenting a dynamic program spanning classical, gospel, and jazz traditions. The concert will also include The Choir Community, founded by Demmings to celebrate and perpetuate the communal spirit of Gospel music. Additionally, the youth of Arena Players Theatre, the nation’s oldest continuously operating African-American theatre, will offer snippets of their Black History presentation, later to be showcased at the theatre and special guest appearance by Rev. Gwendolyn Lloyd.
