Racial Justice Book Discussion

Join us as we read and discuss Reckoning with History: Settler Colonialism, Slaver and the Making of American Christianity by Dr. William Yoo, a powerful exploration of how settler colonialism, slavery, and racism shaped American Christianity. Through compelling historical research, Yoo challenges readers to confront the past while imagining a more just future for the church.
A Presbyterian minister and professor at Columbia Theological Seminary, Dr. Yoo writes with honesty, hope, and a deep commitment to racial justice. His work invites Christians to engage history as an act of faith, confession, and transformation.
To deepen our conversation, participants are encouraged to attend the Mini Matthew 25 Summit on Saturday, October 3, in Washington, D.C., where Dr. Yoo will be the keynote speaker. Stay tuned for more info on that opportunity.
Copies of the book will be available through the church office in mid-August, or you can purchase it through your favorite bookseller, audiobook platform, or local library. You can also find it here. We will meet on Zoom at 7:00pm.
