Violinist Nicolle Avila was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, where her primary musical influences were her mother, Janeth Avila, and Amparo Botero. Driven by a lifelong passion for teaching and performing, she draws inspiration from her Colombian roots, having grown up deeply involved in her mother’s music academy. With undergraduate and Master’s degrees from the Peabody Institute, Nicolle has performed alongside renowned orchestras such as the Tonhalle Orchestra of Zurich and the Houston Symphony, and she currently serves as a regular substitute with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
