Music is lively at Govans, with lots of participation by the congregation. Clinton Adams directs the music program and plays the organ at the 11:00 a.m. service. Randy Austin leads the music at the 9:15 a.m. Worship Service.
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir leads congregational singing and provides inspirational music for the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:30-9:30 in the Choir Room located directly below the Sanctuary.
The Contemporary Singers
The Contemporary Singers lead congregational singing and provides inspirational music in a fresh, contemporary style for the 9:15 a.m. Children and Family Service. Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. Persons who enjoy singing contemporary music and/or play the guitar and other instruments are welcome to join us.
Handbell Choir
Our Handbell Choir provides music on special occasions. Rehearsals are announced several weeks before planned performances.
Children's Choir
Each Sunday morning at 11:15 a.m. children ages 6-12 are invited to participate in the children's choir. Children learn songs of the church year and present special seasonal music. They are a regular part of the new Children's & Family Service.
