We offer a variety of programs and groups for self-enrichment, discovery, and fellowship. They include:
Govans Fellowship Club
Our Older Adults meet each month on the First Wednesday for luncheons, trips, study and entertainment.
Mariners
Monthly get togethers for those individuals, married and single, finding themselves in "Mid-life."
The Group
A supportive group of parents who meet to share ideas, support one another, and just to have fun.
The Bubblers
Families with young children gather Sunday evenings for pot-lucks, dinners, and special activities.
The Mob
Youngish adults (with no kids) meet monthly at places throughout the city for food, drinks, and fun. Contact Stephen at scgaede@gmail.com for information.
Various Community Groups
Each year additional groups form around interesting issues or needs. There are also a wide range of community groups that meet at Govans Presbyterian and welcome new members. These groups include:
- Debtors Anonymous
- Parents Anonymous
- Overeaters Anonymous
- Visions (FinancialManagement)
- The York Road Partnership (an Umbrella Community Group for the area)
- The New Wave Singers ( a community based gay & lesbian chorus)
